Eva Pope

Eva Pope (born 16 November 1967 in Wigan, Greater Manchester) is an English actress, who trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and currently appears as headteacher Rachel Mason in the BBC drama Waterloo Road, a role which she began in the autumn (November) of 2007. Her character was trapped in a school fire after a gas explosion in the episode aired on 13 March 2008, but viewers have been left on a cliffhanger as to whether the character will survive or be killed off. Pope's television credits include roles as Tanya Pooley in Coronation Street from 1993 until 1994, as well as appearances in Cold Feet, Heartbeat, Dream Team, Peak Practice, Casualty, McCallum, Ellington, Strictly Confidential, Vincent, Bad Girls, Life on Mars and Waterloo Road. She was the female lead in the film Shadow Man. She also has appeared in many theatre productions, including roles in Comedy Of Errors, Turkey Time and Hobson's Choice and is a regular performer (and part of the original cast) of the long-running touring play Seven Deadly Sins Four Deadly Sinners produced by Marc Sinden.
