Yan-san's story of his life in Japan continues. It's the Japanese New Year (お正月); therefore, obviously, everyone is cleaning (kind of like Spring cleaning, I guess. Except, it's New Year Cleaning . . . Weird, eh?). We get to see more of the family-down-the-way, more singing of Ode to Joy, and more of that creepy next-door misanthrope. Plus, a REALLY loud bell! It's creepy; it's funny; it's Yan-san!
