This video is an interview with John Landis, the founder of Vynecrest Winery in Lehigh County, Pa., about Nouveau Beaujolais weekend, For centuries in France, the third weekend in November has been the traditional release date for the first wine of the year. Vynecrest grows the Gamay Beaujolais grape and releases its first bottling during "Nouveau" weekend. Eight other wineries on the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail release their new wines at the same time, making for one great regional winery event.
