This is Gene Mortensen I'm talking to you about Sudoku Puzzles. Let me talk to you a little bit about the history of Sudoku. I think it's been around in Japan and the orient for many, many years, it was isolated to that general area in 2004. A man by the name of Gule from New Zealand saw the puzzles in a magazine in Japan and liked the idea so he tried to develop some computer programs to assist him in working the puzzles. On one of his trips to England he dropped in to see the editors of the Times and told them about this wonderful challenge which is in the form of the Sudoku Puzzle. Essentially they liked the idea and they started to print a daily puzzle in their newspaper, it caught on and the next thing you know it spread world wide. The Tulsa World started publishing a daily Sudoku Puzzle in this form on January 1, 2006.
