Mar. 13 - Thailand holds an all-you-can-eat buffet for more than 70 Asian elephants to mark National Elephant Day. A long line of jumbos paraded with their mahouts in a grand celebration as tonnes of sugar cane, banana trees and fruit were set out on long tables at Maesa Elephant Camp in Chiang Mai, 700 km north of Bangkok. The buffet has been held annually since 1998, when the Thai government declared March 13th as National Thai Elephant Day.
