Jul 22 - The arrest of one of the world's most wanted men, Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, has been 'very well done' by the Serbian authorities, said the EU's Javier Solana. The EU foreign policy chief said he expected the chief U.N. war crimes prosecutor to declare Serbia in cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia after the arrest of Karadzic. His arrest was one of the main conditions of Serbian progress towards European Union membership. After more than a decade on the run, Karadzic was arrested in Serbia. He is accused of genocide and warcrimes over the 43-month siege of Sarajevo where around 12,000 people were killed, and for orchestrating the slaughter of some 8,000 Muslim men during the Srebrenica massacre in 1995.
