Recreation - Flora IL The City of Flora offers residents and visitors a wide variety of recreational options with something for all ages and interests. The City?s recreation ?gem? is Charley Brown Park, a 100-acre park that includes a playground, modern swimming pool, fishing lake, camping and the Little Toot railroad. Adjacent to the park is Flora Country Club, a nine-hole golf course with tree-lined fairways, fast greens, and water hazards on several holes. Many special events are hosted at Charley Brown Park including the County Fair, Relay for Life, 4th of July Celebration, bluegrass music festivals and annual Coon Hunters Club hunts. The Flora Kiwanis Club installed, and continues to maintain, playground equipment at 2 smaller community parks. The Flora Rotary Club has installed and dedicated to the City a lighted basketball court and skate park. The City sponsors many programs for youth with winter and summer months? activities held in local school facilities.
