Jul 18 - Guinness record holder builds Olympic landmarks out of playing cards. Stacking up decks of playing cards in a shopping mall is Guinness World Record cardstacker Brian Berg. He is using 140,000 playing cards to build Olympics Athlete Village landmarks such as Bird's Nest National Stadium , and also a 3.2 meters high replica of the Beijing CCTV Tower. The impresario's work can support over 240 pounds (108 kilogrammes), including two people standing on four sheets of particleboard. Working for about eight hours a day, for 20 days straight without using any trickery like glue or tape, the American performance artist plans to complete his breathtaking architecture by July 24, 2008.
