Dec 4 - Now that Pfizer has pulled the plug on Torcetrapib, it may be a tougher road for other cholesterol drugs. Pfizer's cholesterol drug was one of several being developed that would serve two purposes: 1) to lower bad cholesterol, which forms plaque in the arteries, making it more likely a person will have a heart attack and 2) boost good cholesterol, which makes it more difficult for bad cholesterol to form plaque.
