Nov 5 - Footage released by Pakistani services Public Relations shows its military engaged in combat against a Taliban insurgent base in South Warziristan. NOTE: Natural sound only - no reporter narration The circumstances surrounding this video could not be independently verified. The Pakistani military said its soldiers secured a fort captured from militants in the northwest of the country on Thursday and consolidated their positions on peaks around another insurgent base. The army launched an offensive on Oct. 17 aimed at rooting out and defeating Pakistani Taliban militants in South Waziristan on the Afghan border. The military says 28 militants have been killed in the previous 24 hours, taking their death toll to 422 since the offensive began.
