ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Saturday called for transparent polls in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to elect a new prime minister. "We are not interested to interfere in the administrative matters of the AJK, but we would support democratic forces if horse-trading is done in the forthcoming election of prime minister," PML-N spokesman Siddiq-ul-Farooq told a news conference. He said the PML-N is not working in the AJK, but it would not tolerate any violation of the constitution. The party has been fighting for the supremacy of the constitution, rights of the people and rule of law, the spokesman added. All 48 members of the AJK Legislative Assembly should be given right to vote independently without any threats or political influence, Farooq said. "We are neither supporting nor opposing any candidate in the AJK polls. We want that the election should be held in transparent and peaceful manner." The PML-N has decided in principle to launch the party in AJK, he said, without mentioning a date. APP/Zaheer/Aamir
