30,000 years ago the earth is the grip of Ice Age.But here in northern europe is a scene of grassy plenty. Head and shoulders above other grazers such as bison,horses and antelop,are the mammoths.Cro magnons,our own human ancestor are also here,come to hunt the bounteous prey on offer.But as temperatures drop a great migration must begin, with millions of mammoths heading south to survive the harsh winter. the journey is perilous, especially for the young and the weak,who are prey to lions and neanderthals.
