This huge Ash tree came down in high winds on the evening of March 8, 2008. God was merciful in several ways. The damage was far less than it would have been if the tree fell just five feet to the left. Thirty minutes before, our van was parked where the largest mass fell. Just a few minutes prior, I was standing in that very spot because a branch had fallen on the roof.
