With fine acting from veterans like Christopher Lee, City of the Dead attains magnificent degrees of mayhem and dark danger with a quality that few horror films can boast – it was a contemporary of Hitchcock’s Psycho and they are similar films. City of the Dead is top notch horror fare, and should be seen by all fans of the macabre.
