Cursed with a domineering father, Ed’s only companion and the sole influence on his life is his domineering mother Augusta (Carrie Snodgrass), who raised him with a mixture of strict discipline and daily bible readings. Left alone on the remote farm after her death, the ghosts of Ed’s past slowly return to haunt him. Without Augusta’s watchful eye the freshly buried bodies of Plainfield’s dead begin to disappear as Ed begins freely indulging his peculiar interests.
