Nov. 15 - The CFO of the world's biggest maker of insulin Novo Nordisk (NOVOb.CO) says the weak dollar is having a "very very significant strain" on the Denmark-based company. Jesper Brandgaard, speaking at the Reuters Health Summit in New York on Thursday, says "every time the dollar moves 1-percent it takes 1-percent away from our operating profit growth. This year the decline has taken away some 10-percent of operating profit growth." Brandgaard says Novo is continuing to hedge against the dollar and is also building a new insulin plant in Brazil and could start construction on a facility in China next year.
