Benazir Bhutto started her education from Lady Jennings Nursery School Karachi after which she spent some period at Convent of Jesus and Mary, Karachi. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, when came Rawalpindi, took her Pinkie to one of the best schools, Presentation Convent, Rawalpindi. BB Stayed there for two years as a remarkable student. From Jesus and Mary Convent Murree, she passed her ‘O Level’ Cambridge certificate in at just 15 years of age. Benazir then got admission at world’s famous Harvard University America. She took greater interest in Political Science and completed her graduation in 1969. She flew to England and got admission in University of Oxford. It was the time when BB’s natural skills became further polished. She contested in several debates and discussions. Oxford Union Debating Society elected her as a member of the society in 1975. Benazir Bhutto completed graduation in PPE (Politics, Philosophy & Economics) in 1976, and took admission again in Oxford and got Post Graduate Diploma in International Law & Diplomacy. She was first Asian Student to be elected as President of Oxford Students Union in 1976. She wanted to join foreign services but Z.A. Bhutto took her remained with him as his intellect knew that Pinkie of the day would become a great leader in future. By becoming First Prime Minister of the Islamic World she proved to be a diligent daughter of an intelligent father. Another skill of BB was the love to writing. She often wrote valuable articles in world’s prominent newspapers, delivered precious lectures in various international universities like Oxford and Harvard, and participated in considerable number of debates on several intellectual forums like Council on Foreign Relations of America. It was BB’s intellectuality that more than nine international universities had awarded her Honorary Ph. D. Degrees. Besides these, she was also Honorary Head of various international institutions. She was also authoress of many books of which, “Daughter of The East” and “Islam, Democracy & Reconciliation” are most prominent. United Nations has awarded her Peace Award which is a true depiction of Benazir Bhutto’s vision and struggle for peace. It was her passion for education and learning that she given special focus to the “Education” during elections campaign in the last general elections. Time has proved that Benazir was an intelligent student, a great leader and wanted to deliver modal education to the people of Pakistan.
