Sergiev Posad is part of Russia’s Golden Ring. These ancient towns, which have witnessed centuries of interesting and fascinating events, rises and falls, preserve the memory of some of the most important and significant events in the Russian history. Today the towns often are called "museums under open sky." They are the homes of unique monuments and Russian architecture of the 12th-17th centuries, and they bring to mind dramatic events and historic people.
