Major General Webelo (later Commander) Zapp Brannigan is a fictional character in the television series Futurama. He is also referred to (mainly by himself) as "The Zapper", "The Velour Fog", "Big Z" and "The Man with No Name, Zapp Brannigan." He is a parody of William Shatner and his famed Star Trek character James T. Kirk.
