Zachary Charles Miner (born March 12, 1982, in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American League pitcher in Major League Baseball who currently plays with the Detroit Tigers. He bats and throws right-handed. In 2005, Miner was traded to the Tigers along with relief pitcher Roman Colon from the Atlanta Braves for setup man/closer Kyle Farnsworth. Standing at 6 foot 3 inches and 200 pounds, Zach Miner had no previous college experience before playing minor and major league baseball. He did, however, play high school baseball for Palm Beach Gardens Community High School. Zach Miner was a fourth round pick, and in the year of 2000, he received the second-team All-American pitcher award. His stats are: 7 wins against 6 losses, along with an era of 4.84. Zach has a total of 59 strike outs and 32 base on balls. He has had limited experience as a relief pitcher, but has not had any saves or save opportunities.

Miner didn't make the 25-man roster at the end of the 2006 Spring Training season, but he was called up to the Tigers in May 2006 to replace the injured Mike Maroth. He was a reliable 5th starter but then got moved to the bullpen during the end of the season.

Zach was on the Tigers playoff roster as a reliever. He pitched once in the 2006 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
