David Darnell Brown (born March 15 1981), better known by his stage name Young Buck, is an American rapper who is a member of the rap group G-Unit. He founded his own record label called Cashville Records in 2004.

Young Buck (Born David Darell Brown) began rapping when he was twelve or thirteen, but became serious when he was around fourteen or fifteen and entered the studio. Around this age, he also began to sell drugs. Older hustlers would refer to him as a “young buck” so the name stuck.[1] When Buck was 16, he got word that New Orleans’ Ca$h Money rap troupe was recording in his town and scored a chance to perform for the label’s CEO, Brian “Baby” Williams, who had him prove his worth by e
