You Can Dance is the first remix album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on November 17, 1987 by Sire Records. The album contains remixes of tracks from her first three studio albums and a new track, "Spotlight", which gained moderate airplay in the US. The RIAA certified it' Gold & Platinum on Jan 20, 1988, denoting 1 million shipments in the United States and worldwide has sold at least 5 million copies. A promotional version, You Can Dance - Single Edits of Album Remixes, was issued on the same day to dance clubs in the US featuring single edits of the album cuts.
