"Without You" is a song originally recorded by Badfinger for their album No Dice (1970), and written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans and produced by Geoff Emerick. Its verse was composed by Ham, originally titled "If It's Love", but had lacked a strong chorus. Evans had written a chorus without a strong verse, so the duo fused the two sections together. The protagonist of this ballad lets a lover know that they "can't live if living is without you". Badfinger's recording of the song, which is more brusque than its successors' versions, languished as an obscure album track until it was noticed a year later by Harry Nilsson.
"Without You" is a song written by David Bowie in 1983 for the album Let's Dance. It was released as a single by EMI America in Holland, the US, Japan and Spain in November 1983.
The cover features artwork by pre-eminent artist Keith Haring.
"Without You" is a single by Brooke Fraser released in 2005.
The third single from the band El Presidente was Without You, a vibrant summer anthem that became their biggest hit to date. It reached #30 on the British singles chart. One of the reasons for its success was heavy promotion upon its release. From its release on July 25 2006, there was a Top of the Pops performance, a TRL performance, an article in The Sun, a live session on The Dermot O'Leary Show on BBC Radio 2 (on which they performed Without You, and Raspberry Beret), and an Xfm session (taped in May, on which they performed Without You, 100MPH, and Hanging Around).
In Japan, the single entered the chart via import at #46, then rose as high as #9.

"Without You" is the second single released by rock band Silverchair from their fourth album, Diorama, which was released in 2002, as was "Without You". It was written in Db major and was actually written during the recording of the bands third album Neon Ballroom but wasn't used.
The video is comprised of many colourful auroras and seems to be in a space setting. It can be noted that Daniel Johns spends most of the video sitting in a chair. During the period in which this video was shot, Daniel's reactive arthritis was worsening, and he could barely walk let alone play a guitar.
Without You was the Dutch entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, performed in English by Re-Union.
The song is a ballad, with the singer telling his lover that he simply cannot imagine life "without you". He explains that "nothing turns out right" when they are not together, and that he "spent my life in search for you" and is not about to give her up now. The relationship appears to be somewhat unpopular with the singer's friends, however he promises to "show them all they're wrong".
Onstage, the performance was subdued, with both singers remaining seated on stools and the three backing vocalists standing in position behind them. At the conclusion of the final performance, however, vocalist Paul de Corte called out "Thank you" very loudly, a sound which some fans argue cost the group a good finish.
As the Netherlands had not finished the 2003 Contest in the top 11, the song was performed in the semi-final. Here, it was performed twenty-second (following Bosnia and Herzegovina's Deen with In The Disco). At the close of voting, it had received 146 points, placing 6th in the 22-strong field and qualifying for the final. In the final, it was performed seventh (following Malta's Julie & Ludwig with On Again...Off Again and preceding Germany's Max with Can't Wait Until Tonight). At the close of voting, it had received 11 points, placing 20th in a field of 24 and requiring the Netherlands to qualify through the semi-final at the next Contest.
It was succeeded as Dutch representative at the 2005 Contest by Glennis Grace with My Impossible Dream.
"Without You" is a power ballad by the American hard rock band Mötley Crüe, originally released on their 1989 album, Dr. Feelgood. The song features Mick Mars playing a slide guitar during the intro and the solo, an acoustic guitar arpeggio on the verses and bridge and various licks on an electric guitar throughout the song. A music video was made for the song, which was described by Nikki Sixx as having a very "surreal" touch to it. The video includes various abstract images, a live leopard, a violin assemble playing during the slide solo and the band playing in an Ancient Egypt-fashioned scenario. Traces of Persian cultural tradition are present in the last few seconds of the studio release.
Released as the album's third single in 1990, "Without You" reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the United States, , #11 on the Mainstream Rock charts and #39 on the UK singles chart.
"Without You" is a country song from the Dixie Chicks. Appearing on their 1999 album Fly, it was released as a single in August 2000 and in January 2001, hit number one on the Country singles chart. It also appeared to number 31 on the Pop singles chart.
