Entering the film industry at age 13, Will Jason performed a variety of jobs, including scoring several films, before turning to directing. His output was mostly routine, consisting of low-budget horror movies, light comedies and an "Arabian Nights" adventure or two. Unlike many B directors, though, Jason often produced his own films. He was the brother of director Leigh Jason.
Songwriter ("Penthouse Serenade"), composer and author. After high school he wrote songs for a number of lesser Hollywood films, collaborating with Val Burton. He joined ASCAP in 1933, and his other popular-song compositions include "Isn't This a Night For Love?", "And the Big Bad Wolf Is Dead", "If It Isn't Love", "Dilly Dally", "Rhythm in My Heart", "It Can Happen to You", "Buy a Kiss", "Romantic", "You Alone", "Out of the Blue", "Sincerely Yours", "Josephine", and "Always You".
