In the 1980s and 1990s he performed with artists including Tears for Fears, Peter Gabriel, The Cure and fellow Bristolians Portishead. Gregory also played the oboe for Tori Amos and has recorded with Paula Rae Gibson.
Will Gregory is also a saxophonist. He has played with Spiritualized, Michael Nyman and as part of the saxophone section of the London Sinfonietta for the 1991 production of John Adam's opera Nixon in China in Paris.
