When Zachary Beaver Came to Town is a 2003 children's movie starring Jonathan Lipnicki and Cody Linley, based on the children's book by Kimberly Willis Holt.

Although this movie is supposed to take place during the hottest week of the summer, it poured rain for 11 of the 27 shooting days.

When the movie was shooting in Austin, Texas, the left-over food from the set was recovered and used to feed the hungry of Austin. This was done with help of Rock and Wrap it Up! - an organization that helps fight hunger by delivering unused but good food to the hungry.

Shooting started on 23 September 2002 and wrapped up by 04 November 2002. However, the film wasn't released until 2005 as it spent much of 2003 and 2004 on the film festival circuit.
