Rebellion was an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view event held by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) that was exclusively for the United Kingdom on Sky Box Office. In 2002, the pay-per-view was a SmackDown! exclusive show. This pay-per-view was stopped after all UK exclusive pay-per-views were stopped in 2003.

This was the first ever pay-per-view exclusive to the SmackDown! brand. Although, there was one exception in that Booker T, a RAW superstar at the time was allowed to fight Matt Hardy. The RAW brand had their part of the deal done previously by having Triple H fight on their pay-per-view WWE Insurrextion earlier that year.

This was the last WWE Pay Per View appearance of Crash Holly.
