Vanessa Baden (born on September 8, 1985 in Manhattan Beach, California) is an American actress best known for her role as Kyra Rockmore in the hit Nickelodeon show Kenan and Kel. She also starred in the TV series Gullah Gullah Island. She graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida in December 2007 with a degree in Sociology. In 2004, she won the Florida District Miss Black and Gold Pageant representing the Iota Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at regional competition in Atlanta, GA.
Won the "Critics Choice Award" for District XI High School Drama Competition for 2 contrasting monologues. (Critics choice is the highest award given at competition, beating out all of the "best of shows")
