Unconditional Love was the final single off of the A Night To Remember album by Cyndi Lauper.
The single was released only as a 3"CD promo in Hong Kong. It is very rare and a collector's item. It was not a chart success though Bangles singer Susanna Hoffs charted with a cover of the song, which serves as a testament to the song's commercial potential.
No music video was made for this release.
The song was also later covered on Shiina Ringo's single, Kabukichou no Joou.
This article is about the song by Tupac Shakur. For other uses, see Unconditional love (disambiguation)
Unconditional Love was the second posthumous single released by Tupac Shakur from his Greatest Hits. Changes being the first, "Changes" and "Unconditional Love" were both made into videos. The CD single is very rare and, as many other Tupac Shakur CD and Vinyl singles, it is known as a collection item among fans. It was never officially released in an uncensored version.
Interestingly, the song was originally written for MC Hammer by 2Pac to revitalise his image when he signed to Death Row. However, 2Pac ended up recording it himself, as did MC Hammer (whose version remains unreleased).
There is also a video for this song featuring a look-a-like 2Pac recording this song in the studiohttp://youtube.com/watch?v=EiiLrL5H2dI.
"Unconditional Love" is the second single from the Donna Summer album She Works Hard for the Money released in the Autumn of 1983. Though uncredited, it also features vocals by British reggae act Musical Youth. It was a minor hit on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching number 43, though it performed significantly better on the R&B chart (reaching #9), and being certified Gold. In the UK, it became Summer's fourteenth Top 20 single. The song was edited from the original album version for its release on the 7" single format.
