Tony Curran (born 13 December, 1969) is a Scottish actor. He is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Curran was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He stands 6 feet, 2½ inches (1.89 m) tall and has red hair and blue eyes.
In the BBC television series This Life, Curran played a gay plumber. To play The Invisible Man in LXG, he donned a special suit that turned him into a walking bluescreen (according to his commentary on the DVD, he looked like a "smurf on acid"). He has played murderers, vampires, Vikings, leprechauns, and "regular guys." He is close friends with Jason Flemyng, who co-starred with him in the 2003 production The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and they participate in marathons together to raise money for charity. He is a frequent and popular participant in the annual Dressed To Kilt event in New York City, run by the organisation Friends of Scotland in celebration of Tartan Week.
In order to accomplish the "invisible" effects for him as the Invisible Man in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" (2003), a special "blue screen suit" was created for him to wear.
