Tony Alexander Adams MBE (born 10 October 1966) is a former English football player, who is currently assistant manager of Portsmouth. He spent his entire playing career of 22 years at Arsenal, and is considered one of the club's greatest players of all time by the club's own fans. He wore the number 6 shirt for Arsenal and 5 for England.
Tony Adams (born Anthony S. Adams, 11 December 1940) is a Welsh actor, best known for his performances in two British television soap operas.
Adams was born in Anglesey, Wales, and he trained as an actor at the Italia Conti Stage School. After some stage appearances, including a starring role opposite Cheryl Kennedy in a West End revival of The Boy Friend, he made his name as Dr Neville Bywaters in the 1970s soap, General Hospital. He also appeared in the 1973 Doctor Who story The Green Death as Elgin.
In 1978 he moved on to a major role in Crossroads, as Adam Chance. It is for this role that he is primarily remembered.
In September 1987, Adams decided to leave the programme. The announcement was made that the series would end in April 1988. Adams stayed to the end, and was a welcome addition to the cast of the revival in 2001. In a later storyline, Adam was killed off in a fire after becoming obsessed with religion.
In late 2004, Adams appeared in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium theatre.
Tony Adams (February 15, 1953 - October 22, 2005) was an Irish film producer and theatrical producer. He produced six The Pink Panther films, 10 and Victor/Victoria, the latter for stage and screen.
He was born Anthony Patrick Adams in Dublin, Ireland and attended the Eblana Avenue Christian Brothers Secondary school in his native town, Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin. There, at the age of 16, he was the Chief Reporter and co-founder of the school magazine, ARK.
He attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
He had four children; Andrew Hopewell Adams, Alister Adams, Molly Adams, born 1992 (mother is actress Debrah Farentino and Tess Adams (mother is actress Anne Runolfsson).
In Adams' 1995 revival of Victor/Victoria on Broadway, his wife, Anne Runolfsson, was Julie Andrews' understudy.
He died at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York after a stroke at the age of 52. His stroke occurred at the New York apartment of U2's The Edge, where Tony was finalizing contract details for an upcoming Spider-Man broadway show.
Anthony Lee Adams (born March 9, 1950) is a fomer American football player. Adams served as starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs after Len Dawson retired.
He also played for the Southern California Sun in the WFL in 1974, where he had his best pro season, completing 276 of 510 passes for 3905 yards and 23 TDs and 18 interceptions. He also played 20 games over two season (79-80) for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL, his best year being 1979, when hit hit 241 of 394 passes for 2692 yards and 13 TDs and 18 interceptions. He finished his career as a strike replacement player with the Minnesota Vikings in 1987.
