Tom Lowe is a writer and filmmaker from Southern California. A decorated Gulf War veteran, Lowe is best known as the author of Spin (ISBN 0-671-01923-6) , a roman à clef based on his experience working as an aide for Michael Huffington's 1994 United States Senate run. He is also a former Chief Speech Writer for the Speaker of the California Assembly, and a former producer of the public affairs roundtable The McLaughlin Group.
During the summer of 2006, Lowe shot pre-production footage for a feature film called The Plan for his production company, Digital Lions. The Plan is about an ex-CIA officer who comes to view religion as the greatest threat to humanity.
Lowe plans to shoot his first feature motion picture, "Solace," in the summer of 2008 in the Western United States. The movie will incorporate advanced motion-control timelapses in the manner of "Baraka (film)" with stunning outdoor natural-light cinematography similar to "Days of Heaven" and "The New World," shot almost exclusively during magic hours.
Thomas Peter "Tom" Lowe (born April 23 1978 in Stockport, England) is an English-born singer and actor.
