Thomas Allen Brown (born May 24, 1937 in Richmond, Indiana) (aka "Tim", "Timmy", "Timothy", "Timothy Luther") is a former professional American football player and actor.
Brown played college football at Ball State University. As a pro (when he was known mainly as "Timmy" Brown), he played only a single game with the Green Bay Packers, eight seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and one season with the Baltimore Colts of the National Football League.
Brown went to the Pro Bowl in 1962, 1963, and 1965. He is the only player in Philadelphia history to return a kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown, and the only Eagle (and one of five NFL players ever) to return two kickoffs, 90- and 93-yarders, for touchdowns in the same game .
Following his gridiron career, Brown became an actor, appearing in such films as MASH and Nashville. He also appeared in a half-dozen episodes of the first season of the M*A*S*H television series as Dr. "Spearchucker" Jones but was dropped from the show when the producers learned that there were no African American surgeons in the Korean War.
A game industry veteran of twenty years, Timothy Brown has been a designer at Games Designers' Workshop, an editor at Challenge magazine, and the director of product development at TSR, Inc.
He is the award-winning designer of 2300 AD and AD&D's Dark Sun Universe.
As well as a notable game designer, Tim Brown is an accomplished guitar player and teacher. He is also the father of two children and has a wife. He is in no way related to Charlie Brown, Encyclopedia Brown, Bad Bad Leroy Brown, or James Brown.
Timothy Brown (born 26 February 1969, in Wallasey, Cheshire, England) was the bassist for the English band, The Boo Radleys, which formed on the Wirral in 1988.
Originally, the band consisted of Brown, guitarist/songwriter Martin Carr, vocalist/guitarist Sice and drummer, Steve Hewitt.
