This Time was the Maltese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993, performed in English by William Mangion.
The song is a dramatic ballad, inspired somewhat by the soul music tradition. Mangion addresses himself to a lover whose infidelity he has recently discovered, telling her that their relationship is over and that "this time I'll be strong, I won't fall in love again".
The song was performed eighth on the night (following Belgium's Barbara with Iemand Als Jij and preceding Iceland's Inga with Þá Veistu Svarið). At the close of voting, it had received 69 points, placing 8th in a field of 25.
A Maltese language version was also recorded, titled Issa.
It was succeeded as Maltese representative at the 1994 Contest by Chris & Moira (both of whom provided backing vocals for Mangion) with More Than Love.
This Time is the fourth (and final) international single from Melanie C's fourth solo album of the same name. Written by Adam Argyle, the single was released on October 12, 2007 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and on October 22, 2007 in UK. Melanie re-recorded this track for a new single version. The single features a B-side track called "We Love to Entertain You" which was used for 2007's Pro7 Starforce campaign in Germany. A video with Melanie performing "We Love to Entertain You" was shown on the Pro7 trailers truth the end of 2007 and in 2008.
In Germany, due to a lack of promotion, the single debuted at a low #71 and rose to #69 in its second week on the chart, making it the lowest charting single from her time on Red Girl Records. In the UK, after no support from the media (no radio airplay at all), distribution problems, it became the lowest charting single of her solo career, peaking at a disappointing #94. However, the song become the only one of the "This Time" album era to be played once on BBC Radio 1 in UK.
This Time is a song by Canadian rock star Bryan Adams, appearing as the third track on his 1983 album Cuts Like a Knife. The single was a top 30 hit in the US on Billboard Hot 100 and Mainstream Rock Tracks during the fall of 1983 and was Adams first single to reach the UK Singles Chart peaking #41.
"This time" is a rock ballad song written by britpop band Starsailor which brings back the captivating sound of the piano of their latest singles that propelled them to their earlier success. This release followed a sell-out UK tour which culminated in a victorious show at London’s Brixton Academy. This time peaked at #24 on the UK charts.
