"World (The Price of Love)" was a 1993 single by New Order, taken from the album Republic.
A 7:34 dance remix of the track by Perfecto was included on many releases of the single.
The track featured a black and white music video filmed in Cannes, which was used for both the original version and an edit of the Perfecto remix of the song. Filmed with only 5 separate shots, the video features the band only fleetingly - Peter Hook sits at a table on the seafront, Bernard Sumner stands overlooking the sea, and Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert pose for a photograph outside the Carlton Hotel. This would be the last time the band would appear in a video of theirs until 2005's "Jetstream", although at least two of the intervening videos had people pretending to be the band.
"The World" is a single by American country music singer Brad Paisley that reached the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It was the third single from Paisley's 2005 album Time Well Wasted.
"World" is the second single from the album Two Lights, written by Five for Fighting and released in 2006.
"World" is a wistfully upbeat, piano-driven melody that, like his other singles, paints vivid pictures of human life driven with deep emotion. The song's lyrics are notably more cryptic than in previous singles, but are driven by the chorus hooks, "What kind of world do you want?" and "Be careful what you wish for, history starts now."
World is the second UK single from the Bee Gees second album Horizontal. Though it was a big hit in Europe, Atco Records did not issue it as a single in the United States. Atco had issued a third single from Bee Gees' First, Holiday, instead of Massachusetts, and now in effect issued the delayed Massachusetts instead of World, using its B side Sir Geoffrey Saved the World.
Lead vocals are split between Barry Gibb (choruses, second verse) and Robin Gibb (first verse, one chorus in closing). The band are Barry Gibb (rhythm guitar), Maurice Gibb (two pianos and bass guitar), Robin Gibb (organ), Vince Melouney (lead guitar), and Colin Petersen (drums), with a bit of orchestra at the end arranged by Bill Shepherd.
