The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe (film) (1991) is the filmed version of the one-woman stage show, starring stand-up comedian Lily Tomlin based on the play written by Jane Wagner. The film was directed by John Bailey and was edited by Sally Menke. Lily Tomlin performs some of her classic character acts: Trudy the baglady, Agnes Angst, and several others.

The title is deliberately misspelt.
