The Package was a 1989 Orion Pictures film directed by Andrew Davis. Set during the Cold War, this political thriller portrays an assassination conspiracy within both the U.S. and Soviet militaries. The Americans and Soviets are about to sign a disarmament treaty to completely eliminate nuclear weapons, but elements within each country's military are vehemently opposed to such a plan and determined to stop it at all costs.
Gene Hackman stars as Johnny Gallagher, a sergeant in the U.S. Army who discovers the plot and sets out to stop it. He is joined by his ex-wife Eileen, a Lt. Colonel in the army, played by Joanna Cassidy, and Chicago police officer Milan Delich, played by Dennis Franz. The film also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Pam Grier, John Heard, and Kevin Crowley.
Fearless leader and senseless con, Bounce (James Lesure) and his brother, Sugar (Darrel Heath) a crossword puzzle obsessed, half deaf, ex-boxer, try to convince their ex-partner in crime, Vance, aka: Bruce (Richard T. Jones) to help them bury a mysterious package in the desert. There's a $75,000 payday waiting if they follow the instructions on the ransom style note. But, Bruce doesn't go along with Bounce's latest scheme easily. This type of behavior doesn't sit well with his wife, Melissa (Marsha Thomason) and their new, domesticated, straight-laced life. The contents of the package remain unknown until they reach the burial spot where they decide to take a look. What they find inside changes everything... Written by Anonymous
