The Ghost Busters was a live-action children's television series that ran from 1975 to 1976, and was not affiliated with the similarly titled 1984 movie (Columbia Pictures did, however, pay Filmation for a license to use the name). Only 15 episodes were created.
This series starred Forrest Tucker as Jake Kong (although his first name is never actually given in this series), Larry Storch as Eddie Spencer, and Bob Burns as Tracy the Gorilla, as a team of bumbling detectives who would investigate ghostly occurrences.
A live-action children's show, the Ghost Busters travel around the globe looking for ghosts. They dispel the ghosts with a weird camera-looking gadget. Written by Afterburner
Spenser and Kong are a pair of bumbling spook chasers who use their "ghost dematerializer" ray in an attempt to battle the spirits of notorious villains. Assisting Spenser and Kong in their mission is Tracy, an intelligent gorilla. Every episode opens with a parody of "Mission: Impossible" in which Spenser, Tracy & Kong are blown up by an exploding tape recorder. Written by Marty McKee
