The End is a 1978 comedy film, directed by Burt Reynolds and starring Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Sally Field, Strother Martin, David Steinberg, Joanne Woodward, Norman Fell, Myrna Loy, Kristy McNichol, Pat O'Brien, Robby Benson, and Carl Reiner.
The End is a black comedy about a man, Wendell Sonny Lawson (Reynolds), who only has six months to live. Not wanting to live his last few months of life waiting for the end, he decides to take his own life.
After trying several times by himself, and failing, he ends up at a psychiatric hospital where he meets a very disturbed fellow patient (DeLuise) who agrees to help him in his quest for suicide. This "help" however, winds up almost killing Sonny...and not in a good way.

The reason for this is that Queen would not give the rights to the song "Under Pressure". It can only be heard in the original video release.

At the end of Jeremy and Heath's night section Jeremy Klein slips off his board and gets launched off the ramp. They re did the shot with Heath and Jeremy going off the ramp together. But they ended up using the scene were Jeremy slipped because they felt that it was more dramatic.
Andrew Reynolds was the only person in the film to pull off his tricks within his first few tries.
The mansion in Heath and Jeremy's part did not have any power outlets. They had to use extension cords for the TVs, games, etc.
Steve Berra was originally to be with Heath and Jeremy. But he was dropped because he didn't want to buy a $500 suit and set it on fire, and didn't understand the concept of their part.
