Bonnie Lynn Hunt (born September 22, 1961) is an Emmy-, Golden Globe- and SAG Award-nominated American actress, comedian, writer, director and television producer.
Bonnie Hunt plays Bonnie Kelly, a reporter for the news station WBDR. She is joined by her best friend Holly (Holly Wortell), a hairdresser at WBDR, her limo driving neighbor Keith (Don Lake), her cameraman Tom (Tom Virtue), her boss Mr. Kirkland (Mark Derwin), whom she is in love with, and assorted co-workers whom she pals around with at work. In the mid-80s, she was a co-founder of the three woman improv comedy troupe, "An Impulsive Thing", with Holly Wortell and Joan Cusack. They performed regularly in Wrigleyville at Bob's Bar in Chicago.
