The Birthday Massacre is a rock band, based in Toronto, Canada and generally associated with the North American goth subculture. The band was officially formed in 1999, known at that time as Imagica.

The Birthday Massacre formed in 2000 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and independently produced and recorded their first two albums, “Nothing and Nowhere” and “Violet”. Through both of these high-demand releases, the band has obtained a large and loyal fan base throughout the world.
