Actually, it's Mr. Nordill and not Dr. Nordill. This Passing Parade short is based on the exploits of counterfeiter Everett Nordill, one of the cleverest counterfeiters who ever baffled the agents of the U.S. Treasury department. Nordill and his career was the basis for the 1950 film, "Mr. 880", that starred Edmund Gwenn as the (lovable in the 20th Century-Fox film) character based on Mr. Nordill, and Burt Lancaster as the treasury agent after him.
