"That's Right" is a song performed by American R&B singer Ciara for her second album Ciara: The Evolution (2006). Written by Ciara, Jonathan Smith, LaMarquis Jefferson, Candice Nelson, Balewa Muhammad, and Jasper Cameron, the song is built around samples of Pretty Tony's "Jam the Box" and "Fix It in the Mix". The song reunited Ciara with Lil Jon, who produced Ciara's debut single "Goodies". "That's Right" is a female empowerment song, which explains a woman telling her boyfriend that she refuses to let him destroy her fun because of his fears.
That's Right (You're Not from Texas) is a song on Lyle Lovett's 1996 album The Road to Ensenada.
Due to its use in a series of advertisements promoting Texas tourism, the phrase has also come to be used independently to describe the quirky and sometimes misunderstood attitudes associated with Texas.
