Tattletales was a game show which first aired on the CBS daytime schedule on February 18, 1974. It was hosted by Bert Convy, with several announcers Jack Clark (for the first several weeks), Gene Wood (who served as main announcer, beginning in late 1974 onwards), Johnny Olson (who also served as main announcer on the 1982 version) and John Harlan providing the voiceover at various times. The show was based on a syndicated Goodson-Todman show aired during the 1969-1970 season, He Said, She Said.
The show's premise was based on questions asked about celebrity couples' personal and/or love lives.
Revival of the popular 1974-1978 game show and again hosted by Bert Convy. 3 celebrity couples competed each playing for 1/3 of the studio audience separated into blue, yellow (banana) and red rooting sections. The husbands/wives were taken offstage while their wives/husbands were asked a question; matching answers won a share of $150 for their rooting section of the audience. Midway through the Show, the husbands and wives traded places to play the game as before. After the 4th & Last Question worth $300, the couple(s) with the most money won a share of the $1000 bonus. Three celebrity couples were panelists. First, either the wives or husbands would go offstage and wear headphones; their spouses would remain on stage. Via closed circuit TV, the sequestered spouses would be asked a question about marriage, sex, or other embarrassing questions, then be left to ponder it. Their on-stage spouse would then answer how they thought their spouse would reply. One by one, they were asked their answer. After all three answered, the ones who got it right won a share of $150. After two questions, the spouses changed places for two more questions, the last being a $300 question. At the end, the couple with the most money won an extra $1000. This pot was then split amongst the third of the studio audience in front of them: red, yellow (banana), or blue. Written by Tony B
