Released as a 'Radio Picture' during the period when FBO was transforming into Radio-Keith-Orpheum (RKO). A sizable hit, this was the first commercial test of RCA's Photophone sound system, which was the logic behind RCA honcho's hefty financial interest in RKO. The first "official" RKO production would be their next release, 1929's Street Girl.
