"Superman" is a song by the rapper Eminem featuring R&B singer Dina Rae, released in 2003 as a single in the U.S. only. It contains nudity . It was from his worldwide hit album, The Eminem Show, which was released in 2002. The song is about the rocky relationships and promiscuous nature of the girls Eminem has had in his life and how he plans to deal with it. This song was rumored to be written about Mariah Carey.
"Superman" is a song recorded by R.E.M. from their fourth album, 1986's Lifes Rich Pageant. It was the last of two singles released from that LP.
This song is a cover of a 1969 song by The Clique, written by producer/songwriter Gary Zekley and Mitchell Bottler. The song was originally released as the b-side to The Clique's hit "Sugar on Sunday", itself a cover of a Tommy James and the Shondells song. Gary Zekley joined R.E.M. on stage during a performance at Northern Illinois University in De Kalb, Illinois, on October 21, 1986. The song was also popularized by Moby Grape.

For a time the band refused to play the song. In one notorious incident, when one concert goer yelled his request of the song, Michael Stipe responded by approaching the microphone and saying, "Shut up, we hate that song." During the recording process, Stipe was not as enthusiastic with recording the song as the others were, and as a result bassist _Mike Mills debuted on lead vocals with Stipe providing background.

Zach Braff, the star of Scrubs, directed the song's video which shows behinds-the-scenes footage from the Scrubs set. The video features several of the show's cast members, including Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Ken Jenkins. It was filmed at the abandoned North Hollywood Medical Center, which doubles as the show's location (Sacred Heart hospital). The song was also covered by The Blanks, who played members of Ted's Band, "The Worthless Peons" on Scrubs.
