Stringer Davis (born James Buckley Stringer Davis on 4 June, 1899 in Birkenhead, Cheshire (now Merseyside)), was an English actor.
Gentle-mannered English character actor in minor roles. Stringer Davis was married to actress Margaret Rutherford from 1945 until her death in 1972.
Rutherford portrayed Miss Marple in four movies from 1961 to 1965. Davis portrayed Mr Stringer in these films, and appeared in a number of his wife's other movies.
He died on 29 August, 1973, in Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshire, England, aged 74.
Gentle-mannered English character player in small parts. He played 'Mr. Stringer' opposite his wife, Margaret Rutherford, in her cinema outings as the Agatha Christie character 'Miss Jane Marple'. Appeared in other Rutherford films as well.
