"Stricken" is a alternative metal song by Disturbed, released on October 4, 2005. It is the second song released from Ten Thousand Fists, released on September 20 2005, but was the first official single from the album.
The song is frequently played on the radio and is very highly requested. The song was the theme song for WWE New Year's Revolution 2006. It was also used as a walk-up song by Cleveland Indians first baseman Travis Hafner for the majority of the 2006 MLB Season. The song is said to be about "those moments when someone comes into your life and it's almost as if you've been afflicted with a disease you can't get rid of, that's devastating and debilitating," in the words of Disturbed frontman David Draiman.
The song is playable on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and is a master track. It is also featured in Project Gotham Racing 4. The music video for the song was filmed in an abandoned hospital in which a scene from A Nightmare on Elm Street was taken.
