Leave It to Beaver is an iconic, six-season, black and white, 234-episode American television situation comedy about an idealized American family of the mid-late 1950s and early 1960s. It stars Barbara Billingsley and Hugh Beaumont as archetypal suburban couple June and Ward Cleaver with Tony Dow and Jerry Mathers as their sons, Wally and Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver. Leave It to Beaver was the first prime time sitcom series told from a child's point-of-view.
The show debuted on CBS on October 4, 1957, moved to ABC the following year, and completed its first run on June 20, 1963. The show's production companies included Gomalco Productions (1957-1961) and Kayro Productions (1961-1963). The show was filmed at Revue Studios (Republic Studios) and distributed by MCA Television. Leave It to Beaver was filmed entirely in black and white and was the first prime time sitcom to have a final episode written expressly as a series finale.
The critics were favorable to Leave It to Beaver but the show never broke into the Nielsen Ratings top 30 in its six-season run; however, it proved to be much more popular in reruns. It also led to a reunion telemovie, Still the Beaver (1983), and a sequel series The New Leave It to Beaver (also known as Still the Beaver) that ran from 1985 to 1989. In 1997, a movie version was released to moderate acclaim. The first two seasons have been released to DVD.
The New Leave It to Beaver (also known as Still the Beaver) is a 1985 American sitcom sequel to the 1950s and '60s series, Leave It to Beaver. The New Leave It To Beaver began with the 1983 CBS TV movie Still the Beaver, and was picked up in 1985 as a Disney Channel series with the same name; however, it only lasted one season and before being picked up by TBS in 1986 and renamed The New Leave It to Beaver. The series lasted until 1989.
It is one of the rare examples of a television series sequel (not Spin-Off) that revolves around the characters from the original series. Another example of this would be The Bradys and The Brady Brides.
Leave It to Beaver is a 1997 film that is a remake of the classic TV series of the same name. There are many in-jokes related to the original series within the movie.
This movie reunites most of the members of the Cleaver clan, Wally, June, and of course, the Beaver. Their father Ward has passed away. Wally's married to Mary Ellen and a successful lawyer and has everything to make his life complete except for a child. The Beaver is married but unfortunately is still the same which is why his wife threw him out. With nowhere else to go, he goes home. And he also decides that he wants to raise his children, in his hometown of Mayfield. His wife, who decides that she hasn't done anything in her life, decides to become a veterinarian, but she can only go to school out of the country, so she let's Beaver have the children. So he brings his sons there and they are not exactly impressed with Mayfield and feel that they were dumped there, and bond more with Wally than with their own father. They also have to deal with Eddie Haskell, who has gone from nasty to crooked. It's a good thing they still have their mom. Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com
The Cleavers are the 1950's 'All-American Family' in this 'feel-good' family sitcom. Parents Ward and June, and older brother Wally, try to keep Theodore ('the Beaver') out of trouble. However, Beaver continues to end up in one kind of jam or another. Unlike real life, these situations are always easily resolved to the satisfaction of all involved and the Beaver gets off with a few stern moralistic words of parental advice. Instigator and troublemaker Eddie Haskell is an older kid who always manages to avoid being caught. Written by Tad Dibbern

The Cleavers are an all-american family living in Ohio - wise father Ward (Christopher McDonald), loving mother June (Janine Turner), 12 year-old son Wally (Erik Von Detten) and 8 year-old son Beaver (Cameron Finley). Once Beaver sees a shiny red bike in a bike shop, he really wants it. Wally's seriously obnoxious friend Eddie (Adam Zolotin) gives Beaver the advice to "suck up" to his father by playing football. Soon it's Beaver's birthday and he gets a computer from his Aunt Martha and the shiny red bike he really wanted from his parents (I was thinking Wally told them about it). On the first day of school, Wally rides Beaver to school. After school, Wally and Beaver meet up with Eddie and Wally and Eddie go into the soda shop while Beaver waits outside. Suddenly, some other kid much older than Beaver comes and starts showing Beaver a lot of bike tricks. On the last trick, he takes off and does not come back. At dinner, Beaver and Wally tell Ward and June about the bike. At school the next day, Beaver has to see Miss Landers after school because of his failing grades. Soon after Wally tries to hook up Eddie with Karen (Erika Christensen), a classmate who seems to like Wally better than Eddie. Wally and Eddie get invited to Karen's boy-girl party and everyone plays Spin the Bottle. Wally ends up with Karen and after they start hanging out together. Soon after Wally gets Karen taken away from him by Kyle (Matthew Thomas Carey), Karen's former boyfriend. After that, Kyle and the kid who stole Beaver's bike (Glenn Walker Harris Jr.) dares Beaver to go into the giant coffee cup above the coffee shop. Ward and June soon find out about the football team and the being left behind in school. Written by Corey Semple
