Spacecataz is the name of a spin-off based on the animated series Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It was created by ATHF creators Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro with the idea of running it for six episodes, but only the pilot was produced. DVD Commentary for "Little Brittle" (Adult Swim felt that there was little, if anything that could be made into five more episodes, since all of the characters were destroyed at the end of the pilot). The series shifts away from the Aqua Teens and instead focuses on the Mooninites, Ignignokt and Err, and Plutonians, Oglethorpe and Emory, all recurring characters on ATHF. They battle with each other in outer space unconventionally, by means of pranks, jokes, or simply being a nuisance.
The pilot episode was divided and placed at the beginning of episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force during its third season. They were fit to fill in any remaining time after the episode is produced, including the episode "Hypno-Germ" where only half a word was spoken. Season 3 ran for 13 episodes with more than half the pilot aired, but since cold openings weren't continued in season 4, they ended without the pilot's conclusion.
After this pilot was not picked up, small portions of the show were featured in the cold openings of all the fourth season episodes of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" (2000).
